I am… alarmed.

An enemy army has been sighted
In the far distance

Better
Than discovering it
Close by

Still
We aren’t ready

I fret
Over informing
The lord of the castle

Of course he needs to know
But he is already
Paralyzed by fear
This could push him
Into panic

I listen for the Spirit.

The Spirit
And the Bride
Say “Come”

He says:

“Come away with me my love
The voice of the turtle
Is heard in the land”

I realize
My own panic
Which I thought was controlled
Is controlling me

I must slow down
Spend time with Him
So I can speak
And be heard
