MIC Check
Today’s Most Important Challenge is…
- Breaking free from the past
- Wounds and failures
- That defined us
- To rebuild relationships
- From the ground up
- Better than before
Immanuel Approach Memo
Continued from Rebuilding
I am… dusty.
My city had been built
From cut and found stones
Now scattered as rubble
Jesus polished a stone
Showed me its and my beauty
Then crushed it to dust
I cry out to Jesus.
“Why have you destroyed
All I had left?”
Jesus looks to me.
He holds out His hands
I see jagged holes
Dripping blood
From breaking the rock
He says:
“Unless you break My body
And pour out My blood
This city
Will never be rebuilt”
I look to Jesus.
I nod
I walk with Him
Collecting stones
Which He polishes and crushes
Until we have
A mountainous pile of glittering dust
Mixed with His sweat and blood
And my tears
Jesus looks to His Father.
He says:
“Father
I thank You that You hear Me
That You always heard Me
Even when I asked You
To destroy this city
In order to redeem it”
He raises His hands
And cries out:
“Now
Glorify Your name”
Immediately…
Fire falls from heaven.
And consumes everything!
To be concluded
Reflection
I feel…
- Pulverized
- Reduced
- Honored
- Partnered
- Glorified
Scripture
I will make your towers of sparkling rubies, your gates of shining gems, and your walls of precious stones.
