I am… standing on the side of a mountain.

An earthquake occurs
The ground trembles
And starts to slip

I am standing on a ledge
Overlooking a steep drop

If I fall
I will tumble for hundreds of yards

Even if I survive
I will be badly broken
With nobody around to help me

I look for Jesus.

I do not see Him
But the ledge stops shaking

I realize
He is underneath me
Holding up the ledge

It doesn’t matter
If the mountain itself
Or the whole world
Falls away

He carries me.
