I am… distilled.

The fire from heaven
Burned through Jesus
Fused His eyes with mine
Turned my mud-puddle-self
Into water vapor

Leaving the dust behind

Instead of a villain of stone
I have become
A hero of mist
Who sees like Jesus
Which makes me look like Jesus

I still grieve
The loss of the map
I’d been searching for all my life
With the secrets of my origin

But now I know
That trying to find my own life
Was what made me lose it

I look for Jesus.

At first
I don’t see Him

Then
With my new eyes
I see Him
In the person
Of the storekeeper
Whose china shop I destroyed
And Jesus turned into a fruit stand

Then I see.

I don’t need a map

I just need to see Jesus
In those around me

When I draw near to them
I bring Jesus near
So He can bless them
With what they need most

The map
Is written on His heart
Which I now share

If I follow His heart
I can trust
It will lead me
Home
