Possibly Juggernaut
Or some sort of stone golem

I am moving
Slowly
Steadily
Implacably
Devastatingly

Like a bull
Through a China shop
Literally

Toppling shelves
Smashing pottery

Why?
I don’t know
There is something I need
Out there
Ahead of me

I won’t stop
Until I get it

Even though
I don’t know
What it is
Or why I want it

I look for Jesus.

He is waiting for me
Outside the store

He is not surprised
Or dismayed
Or upset

He calmly hands a check
To the owner of the store
More than enough
To rebuild the place
Better than before

The owner
Is white with anger
Looking like they
Might just tear the check up

I don’t stick around to find out

Jesus sees me
I see Him
But refuse to look Him in the eye

Instead
I continue
On my lonely path
To doom…
