In memory of Interdependence Day.
MIC Check
Today’s Most Important Challenge is…
- Cleaning up my messes
- By reconciling the broken pieces
- Rather than sweeping them under the rug
Immanuel Approach Memo
Continued from Signaling
I am… childlike.
The Body and Blood
Of Right Whale Jesus
Transformed
My angry, fearful hunter-selves
Into playful children
Abandoning our orange safety vests
Except
The child-self next to me
Grew into Adolescence
He looks to Jesus.
Adolescence lifts up his hands
Anguished at the price
Which was paid to free us
His cries
Attract my redeemed hawk-selves
Led by young Decade
They feed on Jesus.
So do my sheep-friends
From other flocks
When they are done
All that is left
Are Christ’s massive whale-bones
Which become a playground
For my liberated child-selves
Adolescence looks to Our Father.
In response
To his wordless cry
The earth shakes
The wind blows
And then
The bones of Jesus…
Crumble to dust!
To be continued
Reflection
I feel…
- Innocent
- Purchased
- Clueless
- Protected
- Defenseless
- Vulnerable
- Secure
- Connected
Scripture
“Can plunder be taken from warriors, or captives be rescued from the fierce? But this is what the Lord says: “Yes, captives will be taken from warriors, and plunder retrieved from the fierce; I will contend with those who contend with you, and your children I will save.”
Isaiah 49:24-25 NIV
