MIC Check
Today’s Most Important Challenge is…
- Listening without speaking
- More than what I hear
- From My Father
Immanuel Approach Memo
Continued from Returning
I am… singing.
We sheep are coming together
Walking on causeways raised from the ocean
Following the song of Right Whale Jesus
To escape our deserted islands
Each of us
Bleats only our one note
But we have learned
To know when Jesus
Is about to speak it
So we can join Him
Together
We form a mighty chorus
Of coherent praise
I look to My Father.
He does not speak
He does not need to
I see His face
I feel His joy
I smell His breath
I rest in His bosom
I hear His song
In my heart
In my friends
In Christ alone
I look to Jesus.
The mainland
Is drawing nearer
The sheep
Are getting closer
I start to panic
The water
Will soon be too shallow
For Jesus to lead us
I lose the song.
I bleat in panic
Forgetting my place
Confusing the others
Who then share my anxiety
We are now close enough together
It is hard to hear Jesus
Over each other
We are close enough together
It is hard to hear Jesus
Over each other
But just
When it seems
We will descend into chaos
Something amazing happens.
To be continued

Scripture
“Sing for joy, O heavens! Rejoice, O earth! Burst into song, O mountains! For the Lord has comforted his people and will have compassion on them in their suffering.
Isaiah 49:13-15 NLT
Yet Jerusalem says, “The Lord has deserted us; the Lord has forgotten us.”
“Never! Can a mother forget her nursing child? Can she feel no love for the child she has borne? But even if that were possible, I would not forget you!”
