MIC Check
Today’s Most Important Challenge is…
- Gaining the humility
- To vulnerably ask for what I need
- Without insisting on how
- Or even whether
- I get it
Immanuel Approach Memo
Continued from Attending
I am… restrained.
The body and blood of Jesus
Purified my flesh
But my brain is still infected
My friend-selves hold me down
As Jesus approaches with a scalpel
I look to Jesus.
He does not open my skull
As I expect
He makes a small incision
In my side
Near my liver
Blood and water pour out
It is painful
But bearable
Even beautiful
He smiles
“The way to the brain
Is through the heart”
Jesus looks to His Father.
He lifts His hands to heaven
He prays
In an unknown tongue
A small being
Of pure energy
Or something
Appears on His right hand
He inserts it
Into the hole
In my side
My Decade-self
Holds up a mirror
So I can watch
Through my semi-transparent flesh
It races
Across my abdomen
Following the vagus nerve
Into my chest cavity
To the heart
To the brain
Once there…
It makes war.
Decade dials up the magnification
The black bile
Poisoning my brain
Is the dark thoughts
I thought were my own
The energy being
(Spirit?)
Divides in half
Dozens of times
Yet each piece
Remains perfectly coordinated
Deeply connected
With all the others
They form an army
Plan stratagems
Execute maneuvers
To confuse
Surround
Destroy
The lies
They take every thought captive.
I look to Jesus
In wonder
And ask:
“What is this marvelous creature
You placed inside of me?”
Jesus whistles
It travels back through the vagus nerve
And jumps into
His nail-scarred hands
Jesus grins
At it
At me
And says:
“Her name is Hope.”
To be continued
Reflection
I feel…
- Unbrainwashed
- Regenerated
- Pierced
- Connected
- Aligned
- Restored
- Free
Scripture
“Have any of your idols ever told you this? Come, all of you, and listen: The Lord has chosen Cyrus as his ally. He will use him to put an end to the empire of Babylon and to destroy the Babylonian armies.”
