I am… following a brainless scarecrow.

Because he apparently knows where Jesus is
And I do not

I had no choice but to follow my heart
Because my eyes could not see Him

And strangely enough
I feel no fear or anxiety
Even though the woods
Are filled with my adversary quarry and fragmented selves
Hunting me and each other

Instead
I fix my eyes
On the scarecrow’s back
Walking only where he walks

Until abruptly
He stops
Turns around
And says:

“We’re here!”

I look for Jesus.

And can’t believe what I see!
