I am… terrified.

I am just an ordinary blood vessel
Jesus has sucked up all the plaque
Blocking my coronary veins
But now He is so full
He has become the obstruction

So now I must slay Him
So we can all be free

I look to Jesus.

I say:

“Lord
Is there no other way?”

He says:

“I’m so glad you asked
There is
But the price is so high
I dared not suggest it”

I shudder
What could be worse
Than having to slay my Lord?

He hears my thoughts
And laughs
Grimly

“Not worse
But harder”

I kneel

“Lord
What would you have me do?”

He looks me in the eye

“Eat my heart!”
