Continued from Equipping

I am… falling
Into place.

The city is my heart

The battle line
Between sin and righteousness
Is a chasm
Within me

The swords
Are magic
Not weapons

We become light
They reduce our mass
But not our strength #SelfDifferentiation

We raise a tower

Built from our flesh
Overlooking the chasm
As high as it is wide
And then some

I look to My Father.

Now I can see
He is already
On the other side

He has always been
On both sides

Just because
He is on my side
Doesn’t mean
He is not on yours

We go down together.

The tower tips over

For one terrifying moment
We seem about to crash into the abyss

But then my Father catches me
On the far side
While also anchoring me
On the near side

I was never really in danger
Because I was always held by my Father
And anywhere I need to go
He is already there

I look for Jesus.

He is riding
Across the bridge
To the other side

When He arrives
A few of us stay behind
As a footbridge across the chasm

The rest
Follow Him
Into the darknees
