I am… in darkness.

My palace/prison
Was confining
But secure
Stable
Well-lit

Outside
It is night
Windy
Cold

I shiver
Part of me wishes
I was back inside

I look to My Father.

He looks back at me
I see Him seeing me

He picks me up
And carries me in His bosom
I don’t know how long

My Father lets me down.

So I can stand on my own two feet

I feel something
Underfoot

I kneel down
Scrape away the dirt
With my naked fingers

I find a chest.

Buried treasure
I cannot see it
But I can feel it

My Father hands me a key.

With numb fingers
I find the lock
And open it

Inside
Are furs
Torches
Fire starters

And…

Something Else!
