I am… delivered.

A squalling, wrinkled, self-centered baby
Still covered in blood
Who knows nothing
Can do nothing
Except cry in discomfort

And then eat
Then poop
Then sleep

Over and over again

I look to my Father.

He is not disappointed
He smiles

He is inexplicably proud of me
Because I am His
Because I am perfect
Because I am loved

And that
Is all I need to be
