I am… enlightened.

The narrow tunnel
I thought we were following in the dark
Is now revealed
To have become a catwalk
Between two enormous chasms

The darkness
Shielded us from terror
Forced us
To follow in the footsteps of Jesus
Inspired us
To hold hands
So we could catch any who stumbled

I look for Jesus.

He has lit a fire
On a wide plateau
At our journey’s end

Now He can trust us enough
To see where we are going
And what we are going through

Now He can trust us
To go through it together
In His time
In our proper sequence

Now
He is waiting
To receive us by the fire

Now
We can rest
