Today’s Most Important Challenge is…
- Speaking hard truths
- Softly enough
- To be heard
- As comfort
Immanuel Approach Memo
Continued from 6/17 IAM: Co-Fighting
I am… settling.
We land our prison-door-skyboards
In an underground cavern
Beneath the hole punched by Jesus
I look for Jesus.
He is already running
Into the heart
Of the deepest darkness
We lay down our mats
And follow
The way is dark
Rough
Narrow
Winding (in both senses)
I start to wheeze
I close my eyes
Breathe His Spirit
Follow the rhythm
Of our pounding feet
I look for the others.
I see my brothers
And sisters
By the light
They reflect from Jesus
Together
They show me the path
As I show them
Some before
Some behind
Some see Jesus
Some do not
But all
Help me see Jesus
And where to go next
Looking back
I can see the direction
We have been travelling
And the heights
We have ascended
Looking ahead
I cannot see Jesus
Directly
But I can see His glow
Brighter
On those nearer the front
I breathe
More easily
And continue to run…
To be continued
Reflection
I feel…
- Encouraged
- Not alone
- Enlightened
- Lighter
- Refreshed
- Humbled
Scripture
He will say, “I have long been silent; yes, I have restrained myself. But now, like a woman in labor, I will cry and groan and pant. I will level the mountains and hills and blight all their greenery. I will turn the rivers into dry land and will dry up all the pools.”
Isaiah 42:14-15 NLT
