I am… shattered.

The prison door I hurled myself into
Does not yield
But rings like a bell

So do all the other doors
Which countless others
Unseen
Unheralded
Unrecognized
Had hurled themselves into
Out of love for Christ

The ringing
Hits the resonance frequency
Of the walls

I look for Jesus.

He is singing
With us
The song
Our brokenness has purchased

I realize
We are singing it too
With the last breath
Leaving our lungs

Our spirits soar
In harmony with Jesus
As our flesh collapses

And so do the walls!
