MIC Check
Today’s Most Important Challenge is…
- Hearing your plan
- Clearly enough
- To find my role
- And play my part
Immanuel Approach Memo
Continued from 6/13 IAM: Prophesying
I am… stopped.
I thought Jesus told me to bring freedom
At His command, I ran full speed into our prison door
And was thwarted
It rang like a bell
As does my head
I was expecting to break through
All I got was a bruise
I look for Jesus.
He is still there
Still smiling
Then He turns away
And to my amazement
Recruits another runner
To do the very same thing
With the same result
But a different note
My eyes are opened.
I see many prisons
Many doors
Many runners
Together
We make a melody
A pleasing offering to the Lord
As we hurl our lives into His service
And even though
The doors stay closed
Something shifts
The walls
Start to resonate
The tempo
Starts to increase
Jesus looks at me.
I realize
It is my turn again
It is hard
So hard
To throw my life away
Again
But
He is worth it
I give it my all
Crash headfirst into the door
This time
Something breaks…
But is it just me?
To be continued
Reflection
I feel…
- Expendable
- Harmonized
- Caught up
- Impacted
- Crushed but not destroyed
Scripture
Sing a new song to the LORD! Sing his praises from the ends of the earth! Sing, all you who sail the seas, all you who live in distant coastlands.
Isaiah 42:10
