Today’s Most Important Challenge is…
- Trusting in the naked heart of Jesus
- As the purpose, process, and power
- Of all I desire most
Immanuel Approach Memo
Continued from 5/26 IAM: Seismic
I am… a flood.
I have become
The wave of Jesus
Crashing into
The islands of man
Toppling their idols
Drowning their lies
Sinking their pride
I look for Jesus.
He is standing
On the top
Of the highest mountain
On each island
Above the flood
But not for long
He draws a breath
And calls the water
From every end of each island
And the waters come to Him
Flowing uphill
Reversed rivers
He stomps His feet
And makes a crater
That fills with water
Holy water
Jesus looks to me.
He says
“Come to the water
Stand by my side
I know you are thirsty
You won’t be denied”
I start to protest
Surely the tsunami
Ruined the land
With its salt water
But as I climb
The mountain of God
I taste the living water
And realize
It is no longer bitter
The call of Jesus
Purified the water
And me
I look to Jesus.
“Lord
What would you have me do?”
He smiles
“You’re gonna love this!”
To be continued
Reflection
I feel…
- Refreshed
- Called
- Purified
- Drained
- Ashore
- Established
Scripture
“But as for you, Israel my servant, Jacob my chosen one, descended from Abraham my friend, I have called you back from the ends of the earth, saying, ‘You are my servant.’ For I have chosen you and will not throw you away.”
