Immanuel Approach Memo

Continued from 5/23 IAM: Depolarized

I am…
We are… rising.

From the depths of my heart
My emptiness
Rises with me
To meet Christ

Living bedrock
Follows in my wake
As we break through
The hard crust of my heart

My alienated selves
Both redeemed and corralled
Stumble and fall
As the ruined temple
Is reborn
As a mountainous upthrust

I look for Jesus.

He is waiting for me
As a bridegroom for His bride
Soaring on the winds

I meet Him in the air
Our laughter and tears
Refresh the earth

All my fallen selves
Prostrate themselves in worship

And all creation
Rejoices with us

Amen

Scripture

“Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”‭‭

Isaiah‬ ‭40‬:‭28‬-‭31‬ ‭NIV‬‬
