Today’s Most Important Challenge is…

  • Walking out my healing
  • To secure the victory
  • And bring healing to others

Immanuel Approach Memo

Continued from 5/17 IAM: Unknowing

I am… embattled.

The darkness I saw
When I looked at my heart
Was not in my heart
But on it

My heart is a planet
The darkness
The cloud of enemy
Spaceships
Planes
Tanks
Infantry
Ships

They completely
Swarm around me
Seeking an entrance
And occasionally
Finding a beachhead

I look for Jesus.

He takes my hand
We dive through
The largest incursion

Nothing can harm us
As we pass through the darkness
Of the enemy’s attacks

We land
In richly furnished
War room

Serious beings…
Angels? My Personas?
… run to and fro
Identifying threats
Coordinating responses

Everything is calm
Orderly
Efficient

But it stops
When Jesus arrives

All of us stand
In silence
And reverence
As Jesus ascends His throne
In the center of the room

The battle forgotten
In the awesomeness
Of His presence

What foe
Dare I fear
When He is with us?

But then
He points to a battle map
An area of weakness
And says

“Let the enemy win!”

To be continued

Reflection

I feel…

  • Betrayed
  • Exalted
  • Besieged
  • Honored
  • Visited
  • Confused

Scripture

He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth; its dwellers are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in.

Isaiah 40:22
