I am… unfastened.

I have been looking everywhere
For my “missing peace”
Except in my own heart

So I open the door
And look inside

All I see…
Is blackness

I look for Jesus.

He is there
At the door of my heart
In the midst of the dark

Smiling
Confident
Serene

Holding out His hand
Inviting me to join Him

I gulp
I take a deep breath
I reach out to Jesus

He grabs my hand
Pulls me towards Him
Pulls me into my darkness

We disappear
Into the void
Inside me
