I am… building a road to nowhere.

As a construction worker for God
I feel torn by the tension
Between fulfilling the Father’s plan
And doing what Jesus says now

It doesn’t make sense
To build a road east
When it has to go south

Worse
Doing that
To avoid the potholes
Feels like cowardice
And stupidity

Oh
Maybe that’s the point

The reality is that
In my flesh
I would prefer
To be foolish
Than to look foolish

I look to Jesus.

“Lord,
Because you say so
I will build the road
To the other side
And trust you
To make it turn
All right “
