I am… descending into Hell.

At least, it feels that way
As I follow the footsteps of Jesus
Down the well-lit highway
Deeper into the Primal Reality
On a quest for my mate

The air gets hotter
Unclean spirits
Scream at me from the walls
But cannot enter the road

I look to My Father.

I cannot see Him
But I feel His presence

I focus on the steps of Jesus
Somehow visible
On the concrete pavement

But then
I see them swerve
And disappear over the side
Into a hole in the wall

I begin to sweat
Should I follow the road
Or Jesus?

The wrong choice
Could cost me my soul

Over my shoulder
I hear demons
Cackling with glee
At my dilemma
