Today’s Most Important Challenge is…

  • Killing Resentment
  • With perfect understanding

Immanuel Approach Memo

I am… under attack.

I have no armor
No weapons
No special fighting skills

No castle
No barriers
Nothing I can MacGyver to defend me

This isn’t merely due to a single enemy
Or motivation

Some are trained professionals
Doing it for money
Others religious warriors
Doing it for god

Most are just angry mobs
Who don’t care whom they kill

A few are friends
Driven to betray me
By compulsions they don’t understand

Coming at me from all sides
With nowhere to run
Nowhere to hide

Nothing I can do
To save myself

I look for Jesus.

He is right there

But not beside me
As I hoped
To defend me

He is before me
Where I can see Him
But they can’t

And I suddenly realize
I am not trapped
They are

And I suddenly realize
I am not trapped
They are

This was my plan all along

They did not plan this
God did not assign this

I begged Jesus
For a chance
To show the world
How much He loves me

And He gave me my wish

Because He loves me
He believes in me
He is so, so proud of me

And this is the greatest gift
I can give him

This is what makes Him happiest
Seeing His children
Grow into His Bride

This is what makes Him happiest
Seeing His children
Grow into His Bride

I see Jesus dancing with joy

So I focus on Him
Stop seeing the world
(Though the world still sees me)

And begin to dance….

To be continued

Reflection

I feel…

  • Honored
  • Foolish
  • Loves
  • Known
  • All-powerful
  • Infinitely vulnerable
  • Beloved

Scripture

“And when his rod strikes the Assyrians, they will be terror-stricken by the mighty voice of Lord Yahweh. Every stroke of Yahweh’s punishing rod will be to the sound of cymbals and strumming harps.
God himself fights them in battle with dancing!
From long ago, the king’s fiery burial place has been prepared, stacked high with plenty of firewood to fuel the flame. Yahweh’s breath, like a stream of sulfur, kindles it.”‭‭

Isaiah‬ ‭30‬:‭31‬-‭33‬ ‭TPT‬‬
