Concluding 3/27 IAM: Remade

I am… in paradise
All my enemies destroyed
Living in the City of my God
Seeing Jesus in the Tree of Life

Yet there is still something I need to do

I look at Jesus.

He nods
Smiles
Winks

Holds up a mirror

I look in the mirror

I see Myself
In the mirror

I see Myself
In Jesus

I see Myself
In the City

I see.

I had thought
This was the story
Of how Jesus
Destroyed evil in the world

And I was almost right

All this
Was just the story
Of how Jesus
Destroys evil
Inside me

All this
Was just the story
Of how Jesus
Destroys evil
Inside me

Which IS
How Jesus
Destroys evil
In the world

By planting me
In the world
On a cross
To take on the world’s sins
And destroy them
Inside me

Because every sin
I hate in the world
Is also in me

Because every sin
I hate in the world
Is also in me

I look at the tree.

In the light of Jesus
The shadow
Forms a cross

I turn from Myself
Pick up my shadow
And follow Jesus

Back to the beginning
Except this time
I know how the story ends

Scripture

That is why the Lord, who redeemed Abraham, says to the people of Israel, “My people will no longer be ashamed or turn pale with fear. For when they see their many children and all the blessings I have given them, they will recognize the holiness of the Holy One of Jacob.
They will stand in awe of the God of Israel. Then the wayward will gain understanding, and complainers will accept instruction.”‭‭

Isaiah‬ ‭29‬:‭22‬-‭24‬ ‭NLT‬‬
