Today’s Most Important Challenge is…
- Feeling Cherished by Christ
- Amidst My Dysfunction
- So I do the same for Others
Immanuel Approach Memo
Continued from 3/24 IAM: Crushed
I am… scattered
I thought
I was a Pillar
In the Hidden House of my God
Holding up the Kingdoms of Man
But Christ Himself unmade me
With the Flood of His Song
My pearl of great price
Has been turned to dust
And scattered to the four winds
But not randomly
I look for Jesus.
He is not being crushed
By the pressure
Above and around Him
He is crushing it
Shaping it
Sending it
The holy water from His side
Is like a living thing
Every speck of dust
A seed
All of us
Who were pillars
And stayed with Jesus
Have been reduced to our basic atoms
And are now being recombined
With the precision of a pharmacist
And redistributed
In exactly the right proportions
As perfect hybrids
Right where He needs us
Even as
The Kingdoms of Man
Come crashing down
Upon us
To be continued

“Listen to me; listen, and pay close attention. Does a farmer always plow and never sow? Is he forever cultivating the soil and never planting? Does he not finally plant his seeds— black cumin, cumin, wheat, barley, and emmer wheat— each in its proper way, and each in its proper place? The farmer knows just what to do, for God has given him understanding.
Isaiah 28:23-29 NLT
A heavy sledge is never used to thresh black cumin; rather, it is beaten with a light stick. A threshing wheel is never rolled on cumin; instead, it is beaten lightly with a flail. Grain for bread is easily crushed, so he doesn’t keep on pounding it. He threshes it under the wheels of a cart, but he doesn’t pulverize it.
The Lord of Heaven’s Armies is a wonderful teacher, and he gives the farmer great wisdom.”
