Very spooky
Very Halloween

I look for Jesus.

He is right next to me
He says: Tell the dead to rise!

I am horrified
I look at Him like He is crazy

I’ve seen the movie
Corpses crawling out of graves
Zombies hungering for our flesh

He smiles.
“Do you trust me?”

My heart sinks
I have to do this
But can’t bear to watch

“It is okay. Just close your eyes.”

I take the hand of Jesus

I close my eyes
I speak the words
(Which I don’t remember)

For a moment, nothing
Then I feel warmth
Light
On my face

I open my eyes

I am in a garden

All around me
Resurrected souls gambol

It is wonderful beyond words

But how did I get here?

Jesus looks at me

He says:
The one
That needed to be resurrected
Was you
