MIC Check

Today’s Most Important Challenge is…

  • Using my frustration with others
  • As a sign I secretly believe God is angry with me
  • And turning that into praise
  • For how He is forming Christ in me

Immanuel Approach Memo

I am… in a battlefield

World War II style.
Rifles.
Tanks.
Artillery.

Our forces are scattered
Our leaders incompetent
Supplies unreliable
Mission vital but unclear

It is hell

I look for Jesus.

He is sitting on a white horse
Sober at the carnage
But calm
Waiting

Waiting…
For me

For me to look to Him

And when I do
He smiles a grim smile

And raises a trumpet to his lips
And blows

To be continued

Reflection

I feel…

  • Ashamed
  • Cowardly
  • Petty
  • Responsible
  • Humbled
  • Hopeful
  • Curious

Scripture

In that day you will say: “O LORD, I will praise You. Although You were angry with me, Your anger has turned away, and You have comforted me.

Isaiah 12:1
