Dream: Sky Dancer

Published by

My enemies are powerful
But also insane
I take to the skies
To safeguard my brain

That’s why they chase me
No matter the cost
My sanity taunts them
With all they have lost

I am visiting an old friend
Perhaps also a young friend who grew up

I track down their mobile home
Now part of a larger jumble
I go down to the lower level
And see what looks like his dog

Same off-white coat
But larger. Sharper. Nasty.

The rooms are familiar
But my friend’s not there
A neighbor suggests
He will return soon

A young man enters
My friend’s son grown up?
But his evil grin shows
That it was all a trap

They wrap me in chains
Drag me to their feast
I watch while they torture
Themselves for their beast

I burst from my bonds
The ceiling I punch
I dance on the missles
That follow by bunch

This last set is purple
One two and three
If I can disarm these
I might just get free

They seem to be closer
With mouths tongue and teeth
I twist to avoid them
The ocean beneath

I finally grab one
Which turns out quite small
I blow like flute
And that changes all

I wake at a party
Surrounded by friends
And for all I know
That’s how this Dream ends
