I am…

In a forest of… truffula trees?
Very narrow
With small tufts of leaves at the top
Like well-trimmed palm trees, I suppose
But smoother

The trees don’t seem that dense
But they are just close enough together to blot out most of the sky
And make it difficult to see long distances

I look for Jesus.

He is climbing a tree

I whistle in amazement
How does he do that
When there are no branches
And even the bark is smooth?

He is using some sort of sling
Like that used for climbing telephone poles
It goes around his waist
And he slides it up

Is that…
The belt of truth?

[Note: is the more important gear boots of peace?]

I feel…

• Small
• Lost
• Overwhelmed
• Like I should be able to see farther
• Curious
• Wonder
• The tiny beginnings of deep hope

Scripture
