Immanuel Approach Memo

I am walking through a dark corridor
It feels like a house
A large one, but still a home

The doors on either side might be unlocked
But I wouldn’t want to wake anyone

I get to the end
There is a door
I don’t want to open it
But there’s nowhere left to go

I look for Jesus.

I don’t see Him
Because deep down
I know He’s on the other side of that door

I know opening the door
Could unleash what’s on the other side
And destroy me
And everything I love

But I also know this house is doomed
And time is running out

So I take a gamble
I retrace my steps
Then speedrun the corridor

And slam into the door with all my strength, mass and kinetic energy

The door breaks
I break
Reality breaks

Everything disappears

Then Jesus catches me

And we are good
