“Tell him to stop worrying. Tell him he doesn’t need to fear… Unless your faith is firm, I cannot make you stand firm.”

- Today’s Most Important Challenge is … staying calm enough to endure (embrace?) God’s cleansing fire with the people I love
Immanuel Approach Memo
I am walking down through rock.
It is hard.
Like pressing into a very stiff wind.
I don’t think I can last more than a few steps.
But though the resistance increases
As the pressure grows
I find myself getting stronger
Instead of weaker
Energized
Instead of exhausted
I look at my heart
I realize that the rock
Is filtering me
Like running a comb
Through the ears of my cocker spaniel
The more tangles I pull out
The easier the comb flows
And the more subtle issues
I can gently cleanse
As I press deeper
I become less tangible
The resistance is greater
But so is the available power
And the opposition has less to grab onto
I look for Jesus
And see Him in my heart
Riding a stationary bicycle
Laughing hilariously

And see Him in my heart
Riding a stationary bicycle
Laughing hilariously
He is excited
He knows we are going home
The closer we get
The happier he becomes
And the more energy
He pours through my veins
