I am sitting on the beach with my friends.
Jesus pulls me aside.
“Ernie, do you love me?”
“Lord, you know better than I do. But I’m willing.”
“Then feed My sheep.”
“With what?”
He takes a piece of His own broken, nail-scarred body and places it in my mouth.
“Now it is your turn.”
And He sends me back to my friends.
When they had finished eating, Jesus asked Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love Me more than these?”
John 21:15
“Yes, Lord,” he answered, “You know I love You.”
Jesus replied, “Feed My lambs.”
