12/28 Poem: Noise to Signal

Hat tip to the Ratio

If we’re to partake of Your joys
We need to find You midst the noise

The lies and addictions we face
Are actually clues we can trace
Of truths that our brains fear to think
Lest we be pushed to the brink

Instinctual self-preservation
Must finally give way to the zen
Of gladly surrendering our life
So we can live as Your wife

That’s when we will see the expanse
From which we once hid in our trance
The signal You smuggled to me
Revealing Our shared destiny

Today I will pierce the noise
So Christ can pierce me
