Hat tip to Care Bears

“Why are you frightened?” he asked.
“Why are your hearts filled with doubt?”

Luke 24:38

I know that I should
Believe God is good
Yet I confess
I oft believe less

And that is the grace
I will need to face
To swallow my pride
In this great divide

For in this world
In which we’ve been hurled
I can’t always see
Your great love for me

The trials that come
Make me feel dumb
Thus cause me to curse
And think of You worse

My poor finite brain
Still cannot contain
The grand paradox
That Your cross unlocks

And so I must start
By opening my heart
To humbly receive
What I can’t believe

Today I will out my doubts
So hearts can receive
What minds won’t believe
