Luke 23:34a: Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”

When heaven’s Body was riven
So earthly souls could start livin’
A debt was incurred
That only got cured
When Jesus asked for forgivin’

That’s how Our Father began
To know what’s inside of a man
The sorrow within
That makes us to sin
Was the missing piece of His plan

So now all the earth has the chance
To gain what God gave in advance
The cross that He bore
Has opened the door
To consummate the divine romance

Today I will give up
What was given down
