Lord you must open my eyes
So I can see I’m un-wise
My cleverness became a snare
That keeps me from seeing what’s there
Wisdom can become a crutch
To save us from feeling too much
Words can turn into a fence
Cheap sympathy hiding offense
Make me a fool for Your love
Set my heart on things above
Free my mind from selfish pride
As grace now flows where wisdom died
Today I will not hide behind wise words
