The reason my work seems “travail”
Is deeper truth hides beneath “veil”
Yet this is quite kind
For if in my mind
Distractedness would make me fail

In this world, to just “get by”
I must share the common “half lie”
The myths we embrace
As part of our race
Is the only way to not die

The only way out is by Spirit
Who excavates truth so I hear it
When Christ breaks my chain
He expands my brain
And “easy yoke”? I’m drawing near it!

Today I will laugh
At (with?)
God’s “yoke” on the world
