Today we actually practiced Immanuel Approach.
Embarrassingly, my “Moment of Appreciation” was when my boss generously gifted me an Apple Studio Display!

I am not generally enamored of material things, but:

1. It was incredibly useful, and big boost to my productivity
2. We are a small, struggling startup, so it was a sacrificial gift on his part that made me feel deeply valued
3. The craftsmanship and unboxing was breathtaking

So, instead of reliving a moment with friends or nature, I was alone with my techno-lust! In fact, I was attending the Zoom session in the same room, on that very monitor.

The interesting part was when I looked for Jesus.
Suddenly the room zoomed down, until it was part of a dollhouse.
Jesus was playing with me, like a girl with her Barbie.
He was so excited to give me a new toy.

That’s when he said, “I love playing with you.
We get to tell the most interesting stories!”

And when I asked what He wanted me to know about him,
The perspective zoomed out even further.

He said:

“Everything you see
Everything in your world
Was as exquisitely designed as an Apple product.
By me.
For you.
Even the hard parts.
Because I love you.
So we can grow and have fun together.”

Jesus

I pray that the light of God will illuminate eyes of your imagination, flooding you with light, until you experience the full revelation of the hope of his calling –that is, the wealth of God’s glorious inheritances that he finds in us, his holy ones!
