Hat tip to Babes in Arms

Q. What details of your life could you pay more attention to?
A. Perfecting Rest

This world may be subtle and cruel
But I refuse to play the fool
In order to defeat the truthless
I feel that I must be ruthless

I’m tired of hiding our shames
Behind childish religious games
Isn’t it time that we fight
To show the world wrong from right?

Yet Jesus has far different math
For what is deserving of wrath
The offense that made him go wild?
Preventing approach of a child!

What is the principle dear
That makes You long to draw near
Little ones, who when they come
Show to us your true kingdom?

Maybe the chief of their charms
Is that they long for your arms
Asking for no more than this:
That they may share in your bliss

And even though it sounds bizarre
I must become as they are
This world will fall into His trap
When I can sleep in Jesus’ lap

Some people brought their children to Jesus so he could bless them by placing his hands on them. But his disciples told the people to stop bothering him.
When Jesus saw this, he became angry and said, “Let the children come to me! Don’t try to stop them. People who are like these little children belong to the kingdom of God.
I promise you that you cannot get into God’s kingdom, unless you accept it the way a child does.”
Then Jesus took the children in his arms and blessed them by placing his hands on them.

Mark 10:13-16 (CEV)
