Radically Happy

Then Jesus said to the disciples,
“Have faith in God.
I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen.
But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart.
I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.
But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too.”‭‭

If we want God
To take our part
We first have to give
Him our whole heart

God loves to give
Us what we need
But does not like
Our flesh to feed

His greater call
Has just begun
To make of us
Daughter and son

And if His gifts
Make us content
To ignore Him
They’re poorly spent

So when we ask
And He deny
It’s worth our time
To ask Him why

And His response
Tis no big surprise
If He would blame
The beams in our eyes

For often I want
To live free from care
And not have to see
My brother out there

And so I judge
Others less fit
Than I to receive
God’s mercy kit

And sometimes the pain
I want Him to heal
Is His broken heart
He wants me to feel

So Lord take my heart
Help me to forgive
And so gain the gift
That I, like You, live

Today I will receive God
Even if it costs me my self
