It’s not enough To sit in a pew Hear wise old men Talk about You
When our poor hearts Are crippled and bent Failing to live The life You had meant
To hear Your voice And feel Your touch Would change our life Could do so much
Lord break our service Trash our old Laws Let Your compassion Drown out our flaws
You crave our freedom You see our pain You came to save us Please, come again!
Don’t leave us stranded In dusty old hour Touch us with healing Reveal Your power
This is the season Of favor for all Open my ears up So I hear Your call
Then I will praise You No matter the cost Whether in churches Or amidst the lost
This is the breakthrough We’ve been waiting for Thanks for Your giving But we need much more
Transform our worship Break our hard hearts Come claim Your kingdom As I play my part
Til more than pavement Shouts forth Your praise Earth breaks to heaven When Your name we raise
“On a Sabbath Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues, and a woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not straighten up at all. When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her, “Woman, you are set free from your infirmity.” Then he put his hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and praised God.”
