Our chocolate lab Frolic is playing with the Hockett’s Bernese mountain dog Bridgette.
He is pinning her to the ground.
Something is wrong.
She should not be here.
There’s supposed to be a fence in our front yard.
Then I wake up.
There’s something here about boundaries.
Perhaps even spiritual warfare.
Frolic doesn’t mind.
He just likes to play.
She probably does too.
What do I know that they don’t?
What does God know that I don’t?
Ownership.
That is, Kingdom.
There are boundaries that have been drawn.
For a purpose.
To protect us.
When we are inside those boundaries
We can trust that all things are for our good.
We don’t need to be on our guard.
If something unexpectedly crosses that boundary
It does not necessarily mean it is bad
But it does mean the boundary is not working as expected.
Selah
Is this about me?
Do I not respect other’s boundaries?
Am I not letting God enforce mine?
Or is it about… respect?
