Radically Happy

Q: What could you let go of, for the sake of harmony?
A: Today I will let Christ
Pierce my veils
For others

To connect the world
To love that won’t fail
We must become those
Who pierce through the veil

For us to exist
God’s glory must hide
So our minds can think
Our own thoughts inside

Yet that boundary
Soon becomes a wall
When Sin faces Holy
As Law causes Fall

The great paradox
We must learn to face
Is how depths of shame
Become wells of grace

The more I see God
As holy and good
The more my own folly
Is well understood

And that is the gospel
The cross came to bring
What once brought me sorrow
Now makes me to sing

The greatness of difference
Between God and us
Is the very thing
I now count a plus

And this is the offer
I now bring to you
His veil pierced through me
Is proof that it’s true

All things have been entrusted to Me by My Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal Him.
