Yet even more aware of the power of Christ

Of anger, shame or hate

No words of golden tongue
Or power from the state

And grant us a clean slate

Can make the crooked straight
And heal the broken hearts
That crumbled from the weight
Let mercy be our swords
And grace our armor plate
The battle is the Lord’s
When in Christ, we relate
