“No one, Lord,” she answered. “Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Now go and sin no more.”

John 8:11

If we want a world
Where no one condemns
We must live a life
Of “Grace comprehends”

We must live by Law
If we would survive
And yet we need Grace
To fully be “live”

The only way
That all of this works
Is by discerning
How Sin in Law lurks

For Law fights great
At evil outside
But that outward focus
Creates space to hide

And so over time
Toxicity builds
As loving families
Become rigid guilds

That’s why we need Grace
To reset the clock
Shift the foundation
To Christ as our Rock

But the master skill
This demands of us
Is finding the root
Beneath all the fuss

For first we must see
The pain and the need
The lies that we tell
To hallow our greed

And honor that pain
And courage to dare
Breaking the Law
To soar in the air

And yet still to grieve
To wounds and the scars
That we leave behind
When we chase our stars

And only when we
See sin’s gain AND loss
Can we embrace
The power of the cross

We need a new path
Between me and you
Where I can be free
And you can be too

This is a future
The Law can’t provide
Unless contradiction
Somehow has died

And that is the truth
That Grace comprehends
When I bear my cross
The rift in “us” mends

For with eyes of Jesus
I finally see
How Law was a pointer
To how we should be

But just a thin map
And not the whole earth
Which cannot be seen
Without a new birth

When I die to Self
I transcend that place
Where Law drew the lines
Which Grace can erase

But only because
Jesus holds the ace
To fulfill the Law
As we see His face

Today I will lose face
To see His
