I am at Caltech
I am in some kind of video game
Probably like Minecraft
Someone hands me a rope
Which I snap into a magic wand
It’s time to build
The longer I can hold the wand
Maintain the tensegrity
The greater the build
At first
I’m just drawing lines on the ground
Like planting rows of seeds
But soon they form into a tile
If I stop, I could pick it up and use it
But I keep going
Finally
After immense labor
I have created
From deep within myself
A complete block of stone
One rigid container
I could stop now
I want to
But then I’d have to do it again
And again
And again
Better
Wiser
Harder
Smarter
To keep going
One block becomes two
Four. Eight. Sixteen.
The effort increases exponentially
But so do the results
Finally I stop
I see a palace
Fit for a King
Then I wake up
