Lord, what are you trying to do
When it is me that you woo
I don’t have money or fame
No beauty or charm to my name

Lord, what is it in me you see
That I’m one you want to with be
Is it just because I am poor
So you reveal you are more

Or is it in me you see part
Of your own lost broken heart
And that in loving me you
Can your own wholeness renew

Lord, help me to find that place
Where I feel loved by your grace
So I no longer ask why
I AM for me would dare die
