Insecurity
Is learning to see You
As You see me
This world is a death-trap
For human ego
Yet I must embrace it
If I want to grow
The fear of the cross
Is what holds me back
Not wanting others
To see what I lack
The crucial distinction
That I need to learn:
I only see others
When my Self I spurn
As long as I’m driven
To protect my heart
I cannot see others
Or You as thou art
Lord, give me Your eyes
To see from above
And find my True Self
When lost in Your love
Radically Happy
