Radically Happy

The measure of Faith
Is how we respond
When circumstances
Tempt us to despond

Do we double down
On what we believe
Or seek out excuses
To get up and leave

Perhaps the best option
Is not one above
But rather instead to
Refine what we love

For what we most cherish
Can blind us as well
And could be a trap
That sends us to hell

So when our mental model
Falls apart at the seams
We should take the time to
Re-examine our dreams

For if our ambition
Is to grow close to Christ
We should not be surprised
A cross is the price

Do we really trust
God loves us like Him?
Then dying to self
Is where we must begin

So this is the truth
We bet our lives on
A life lived with Christ
Is Faith worth a ton
